WEEK 2 COLLEGE BASKETBALL TOP 25 RANKINGS
Another fun week in college basketball, two top ten teams from last weeks rankings both went down in Kentucky and Alabama. I think Purdue solified themselves as the top team in college basketball with an impressive road win against Alabama. Louisville got a huge win over Kentucky at the Yum Center, Mikel Brown Jr was tremendous. Saint Mary's and Indiana both enter my top 25 teams, as they've both looked terrific throught their first four games. Purdue (3-0) Houston (4-0) Duke

Is Gonzaga amongst the top contenders in College Basketball?
Gonzaga is off to one of the hottest starts of any team in college basketball in Mark Few's 26th season at the helm. The week one AP poll tabbed the Bulldogs as the nation's 19th-best team, but I think they've already proved that they are better than that. Gonzaga is now 3-0 on the season. On opening night, they won in blowout fashion over Texas Southern, a solid mid-major program that's won the SWAC conference in three of the last five seasons. What really impressed me, thou

THE TOP FIVE GAMES ON THE COLLEGE BASKETBALL SLATE THIS WEEKEND
#15 Alabama (1-0) @ #5 St John’s (1-0) (11 AM CT Saturday) Easily the best game on the slate this weekend. Alabama goes to Madison Square Garden to take on Rick Pitino and #5 St John’s. The Red Storm are coming off a huge 108-74 victory over Quinnipiac on opening night. Alabama had a nice win on opening night too, beating North Dakota by a score of 91-62. Alabama’s guard play should give them a shot to pull off the upset, Labaron Philon could be an All-American this year, and

ACC BASKETBALL POWER RANKINGS 2025-26
Tier 1 (Final four contenders): Duke Blue Devils It's a young team, but no other ACC squad has anywhere close to as much talent as Duke has. I don't know if they go 19-1 in confernce play again, but Duke is my pick as the early favorite to win the conference next season. I think Isaiah Evans has a breakout season and so could Patrick Ngbonga. Cam Boozer is also the best freshman in the country in my opinion. Louisville Cardinals Louisville should have one of the best backcour

BIG TEN TEAM PREVIEW #18 WISCONSIN BADGERS
Wisconsin has quietly reached the NCAA tournament a total of 6 times in the last 7 seasons under head coach Greg Gard. He is also now entering his eleventh season as the head coach of the program, and he's only missed the tournament twice in his tenure. The Badgers had a terrific season last year, finishing with 27 wins while being a three-seed in March. They eventually lost to BYU in a very close game in the round of 32. Wisconsin returns a couple of key pieces from last yea

BIG TEN TEAM PREVIEW #17 WASHINGTON HUSKIES
Washington had a disappointing first season in year one of the Danny Sprinkle era. The Huskies finished with a 13-18 record overall and had a 4-16 record in Big Ten play, which was last in the conference. Washington hired Sprinkle from Utah State, where he was for only one season and had a 28-7 record, making the NCAA tournament. Sprinkle had also been to the NCAA tournament in his last two seasons at Montana State. If he can take Washington back to the tournament this season

BIG TEN TEAM PREVIEW #16 USC TROJANS
USC did not have a very successful season in its first year as a member of the Big Ten conference. They finished with a 17-18 record with a 7-13 record in conference play. Last season was also Eric Musselman's first season as the program's head coach. He left Arkansas to take the USC job after five seasons there. Musselman had to build his team entirely of transfers last season, which didn't really work out. Musselman will test his luck again with that strategy this season, a

BIG TEN TEAM PREVIEW #15 UCLA BRUINS
UCLA enjoyed a pretty successful season in its first year as a member of the Big Ten conference. They were a 7-seed in the NCAA tournament and won their first-round matchup against Utah State by 25 points before a second-round loss to Tennessee. UCLA finished the season with a 23-11 record, and its 13-7 conference record was tied for fourth in the Big Ten. The Bruins enter this season returning several key players from last year's squad, and they also added some high-end tran
