Indiana will be on it's third head coach since the 2021 season after they fired Mike Woodson and hired Darian DeVries. DeVries left the university of West Virginia to take the Indiana job. He was only at West Virginia for one season. Before that DeVries was the head coach at Drake for six seasons, and he reached the NCAA tournament in each of his final two seasons there. Indiana will have an entirely new roster next season after the coaching turnover.

Projected Lineup:

G Tayton Conerway (Troy transfer)

G Lamar Wilkerson (Sam Houston State transfer)

F Tucker DeVries (West Virginia transfer)

F Josh Harris (North Florida transfer)

F Reed Bailey (Davidson transfer)

Indiana will have a very talented roster next season, as they brought in a lot of great players from the mid major levels. In the backcourt they brought in Troy transfer Tayton Conerway to be the starting point guard. Conerway enjoyed a huge breakout season last year averaging 14.8 points and 4.8 assists per game. He was chosen as the player of the year in the Sun Belt conference. Indiana brought in Sam Houston transfer Lamar Wilkerson to play alongside him. Wilkerson was one of the best scorers at the mid major level last season, averaging 20.5 points per game. He also earned first-team all conference honors in Conference USA last season. Indiana had to beat out a lot of top programs in order to land him. Indiana should also have some depth in their backcourt next season. 6-foot-6 North Florida transfer guard Jasai Miles, 6-foot-2 Depaul transfer point guard Conor Enright, and 6-foot-7 Elon transfer Nick Dorn should give Indiana one of the deepest backcourts in the conference next year all from the transfer portal.

The Indiana frontcourt will also consist entirely of tranfers. 6-foot-7 West Virginia transfer Tucker DeVries, the son of head coach Darian DeVries was arguably Indiana's biggest additon from the portal. DeVries only played in eight games due to injury last year. He averaged 14.9 points and 4.9 rebounds in those games. West Virginia was not the same team after he went down last year. 6-foot-10 Davidson transfer Reed Bailey will be a crucial part of Indiana's scoring attack next year. Bailey averaged 18.8 points and 6.1 rebounds last year, earning all-conference honors in the Atlantic 10. Bailey and DeVries will be the two best guys in Indiana's frontcourt next season, but also expect 6-foot-8 North Florida transfer Josh Harris, and 6-foot-8 Florida transfer Sam Alexis to also be key contributors.

It's an absolutely loaded portal class next year for Indiana and Tucker DeVries. They've got four guys that should immediately be really goof players at the Big Ten level in Tayton Conerway, Lamar Wilkerson, Tucker DeVries, and Reed Bailey. It's just that these teams in the modern era of college basketball that are entirely made up of transfers don't always work out even if it's a talented squad. I don't think that will entirely apply next year for the Hoosiers, they're to good to not make the NCAA tournament.

Prediction: 5th in Big Ten
