Maryland was another Big Ten team that was a victim of the college basketball coaching carousel this offseason. After they went 27-9 last season and reached the Sweet Sixteen, head coach Kevin Willard left the team to take the Villanova job. Maryland made an impressive hire in response, though, as they poached Texas A&M head coach Buzz Williams. He has taken Texas A&M to the NCAA tournament in three straight seasons. After 15 seasons as the head coach, Iowa dismissed Fran McCaffery at the conclusion of last season. Iowa was coming off a 17-16 season, and they also hadn't made the tournament in back-to-back seasons. The replacement was one of the biggest names in last season's coaching carousel, Ben McCollum. He was only at Drake for one season, but Drake went 31-4 and won an NCAA tournament game. McCollum brought over five players from his team last season along with him to Iowa. Projecte
