BIG TEN TEAM PREVIEW #5 MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS
It doesn't get talked about enough that Michigan State has made the NCAA tournament in 27 consecutive seasons. It's the longest active streak in college basketball. Michigan State is coming off a 30-7 season last year, which is the most amount of wins they've had since the 2018-19 season. Maryland was another Big Ten team that was a victim of the college basketball coaching carousel this offseason. After they went 27-9 last season and reached the Sweet Sixteen, head coach Kevin Willard left the team to take the Villanova job. BIG TEN TEAM PREVIEW #3 IOWA HAWKEYES
After 15 seasons as the head coach, Iowa dismissed Fran McCaffery at the conclusion of last season. Iowa was coming off a 17-16 season, and they also hadn't made the tournament in back-to-back seasons. The replacement was one of the biggest names in last season's coaching carousel, Ben McCollum.
